K53 road layout warning signs explained
Road layout signs warn of junctions, crossroads, traffic circles and lane changes ahead. Learn each K53 road layout sign and how to approach it. There are 12 road layout signs in the K53 Examiner study library below.
Crossroad(W1)Approach cautiously, look carefully and prepare to stop.
Priority crossroad(W2)Approach cautiously, look carefully and prepare to stop if cross-traffic does not yield.
Secondary Crossroad(W3)Approach cautiously, and yield to traffic approaching from right / left.
T-junction(W4)Look out for cross-traffic. Slow down and be prepared to stop and go round the corner at a safe speed.
Skew T-junction(W5)Look out for cross-traffic. Slow down and be prepared to stop.
Staggered Junctions(W6)Slow down and be prepared to stop or turn at a safe speed. Look out for traffic at the intersection that might not yield.
Sharp Junction(W7)Pass the intersection at a safe speed and look out for merging traffic that might not yield.
Sharp Junction or road joining(W8)Decide well in time which road to take. Be on the lookout for approaching traffic whose path you will cross when taking the right-hand side road.
Y-junction(W9)Decide well in time which road to take. Look out for approaching traffic whose path you will cross when taking the right-hand road.
End of dual roadway(W10)Position your vehicle on the road where it will not endanger approaching traffic. It may be necessary to change lanes.
Beginning of dual roadway(W11)You will be able to overtake more safely after entering the one-way road. This sign does not indicate a freeway and intersections can still be found on such a road.
Side road junction from the left or right(W107)Slow down so that you will be able to stop, or go around the corner or pass the intersection at a safe speed.
